For prototype making and quick building of certain designs, 3D printing definitely offers many advantages. Developers have come up with idea for instant 3D printing to enable certain process to be faster. A special pen named Duo, the first ever two-sided printer pen, have several legitimate supporters through Kickstarter.

The motorized feeding system sends PLA sticks from one end to the other and the heating system makes them melt linearly. As the plastic moves out of the sprayer, it starts to get cool and solidify. By that, a third dimension can be added to sketches. Duo’s most significant feature is that it is able to handle this process with two different sides simultaneously. Thus, Duo processes faster and up to its user’s choice, two different colors can be printed by only one pen.
