This recipe is for 12-14 muffins.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cereal
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/4 cups skimmed or semi skimmed milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 big apple, grated
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1/2 cup dried grapes
- 1 cup whole wheat flour (or buckwheat)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (powder)
- 1 teaspoon ginger (powder)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
Put cereals, brown sugar and milk into a pot and mix them. Wait for 10 minutes.
Crush the walnuts with mortar and pestle into big pieces.
Add beaten egg, grated apples, crushed walnuts and dried grapes into the mixture.
Lastly, add flour and rest of the ingredients, mix them completely. Use a spatula to mix them, no need to use a mixer.
Put mixture into muffin tins, meanwhile heat up the oven at 210 degrees C (410 degrees F). After putting muffins into the oven, reduce the heat to 190 degrees C (374 degrees F).
Bake them until their top gets brown and expand.
